This petition is filed for a limited direction to the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee to decide the pending tribe claim of the Petitioner of belonging to Koli Mahadev Scheduled Tribe (29), within a stipulated period of time. It is submitted that the Petitioner is a student who has been allotted a college and therefore there is urgency in the matter.

The learned AGP appearing for both the Respondents on instructions submits that the vigilance cell report has been served upon the

( 2 ) 965 wp 8950.25 Petitioner. In that light, the Petitioner may immediately respond to the said report.

In view of the stage of the proceedings before the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee, we direct that the tribe claim of the Petitioner be decided as expeditiously as possible and in any case within four weeks from today. The Writ Petition is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
