PER COURT:- 1.

Mr. Bolkar, the learned counsel submits that on 02.11.2018, the meeting of the Management Council is scheduled and in that meeting decision would be taken for acquisition of writ land of the petitioners.

The petitioners seek relief against respondents for declaring the land of petitioners under Section 20(2) of the M.R.T.P. Act and convert it for residential purpose.

The University has taken a stand that the land is required by the petitioners.

In case, the decision is taken by the respondent-University in the meeting of the Management Council dated 02.11.2018 for acquisition

(2) 906-wp-10707-2016 of the land, then the respondents shall forward the proposal for acquisition complete in all respects to the Collector/Special Land Acquisition Officer within a period of four (04) months from 02.11.2018.

In case, the proposal is received by the respondents-Collector/Special Land Acquisition Officer, the acquisition proceedings shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) months from the date of receipt of the proposal.

In case, the respondent-University takes a decision of not acquiring the writ land then, further steps be taken as per Section 20(2) of the M.R.T.P. Act within a period of six (06) months. 7.

Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
