The Petitioner claims that his application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 filed in May-2007, is pending in the office of the Collector. A notice was issued by the concerned authority on 21.12.2012 in the said matter. Nothing has progressed thereafter. 2.

The purported notice dated 21.12.2012 indicates the date of hearing as 05.12.2012 and the copies were received by the Executive Engineer, Nimna Dudhna Project Department Selu, District Parbhani on 29.11.2012. There seems to be some discrepancy in the record. 3.

In view of the above, we direct the District Collector, Ahmednagar to personally look onto this matter and find out whether any such application

( 2 ) 34 wp 11639.23 as claimed by the Petitioner was filed under Section 28-A. Each and every document connected with the said proceedings shall be meticulously scanned and verified including the discrepancy as regards the date on the notice being 21.12.2012, date of hearing being 05.12.2012 and the notice having been received by the Executive Engineer on 29.11.2012. 4.
