By way of this writ petition, the informant has been seeking transfer of the investigation into the crime registered at his instance bearing no. 279 of 2021 at Udgir Rural Police Station for the offences punishable under section 420, 274, 275, 276 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Admittedly, during pendency of this petition, the investigation officer has completed the investigation and has filed a chargesheet and has included the offences punishable under section 27 read with section 9-B, 17-B and 18(c) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. Even if it is the version of the informant, who is appearing as a party in person that it is because of his persuasion that these sections under the Drugs Act have been included, the purpose having been served, nothing therefore needs to be decided. 3.

The writ petition is disposed of.
