These are the applications filed by the acquiring body/ appellant for extension of time to deposit the cheque as per the order passed earlier, granting interim relief, subject to deposit of the amount of compensation.

Although time of eight weeks was granted, however, the amount could not be deposited within time on account of paucity of

6845.25ca etc (2) funds with the appellant. It is submitted that, after completion of all formalities of getting the funds released, now the amount is available with the appellant and the cheque can be deposited. It is, therefore, prayed that extension of time be granted and the office be directed to accept the cheque.

Considering the contentions in the applications and the submissions advanced, both the Civil Applications are allowed. Office is directed to accept the cheque, if deposited by the applicant/appellant within one week from today.
