By this petition, the petitioner seeks direction to complete the trial of Special Case (A.C.B.) No. 01/2015, pending on the file of Special Court, Basmatnagar, within a span of two months. It is the case of the Petitioner that his right to speedy trial as guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India is infringed by the prolonged trial. 2.

Report was called from the concerned Court, which states that, the complainant/PW No.1 is already examined in the trial and PW No.2/panch witness is partly examined. The matter was being adjourned from time to time due to Covid-19 and the matter is now fixed for recording further examination-in-chief of PW No.2 on 04-10-2021. 1/2

Taking into consideration the facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct the learned Trial Court to complete the trial within a period of six months from today.
