Learned advocate appearing for petitioner submits that Devidas Nidwanche i.e. husband of petitioner was employee of respondent nos.4 and 5 and working as an 'Assistant Teacher' on permanent post since 10.6.1998 till his death on 12.5.2017. Petitioner/widow filed an application for appointment on compassionate basis. On 23.4.2022 respondent no.4/Management passed a Resolution to appoint petitioner on vacant post. Accordingly, petitioner has been appointed as 'Shikshan Sevak' w.e.f. 1.8.2022. Respondent no.5 forwarded proposal dated 18.10.2022 seeking approval to appointment of the petitioner. However, said proposal is still

wp 7373.24.odt pending. Respondent no.2-Education Officer has not communicated anything after submission of the proposal. 2.

Learned advocate appearing for respondent no.2, on instructions, submits that, in case, such proposal is pending, the decision would be taken within a period of eight (8) weeks from today and will be communicated to the petitioner. 3.

We accept the statement as an undertaking to this Court and dispose of the Writ Petition directing respondent no.2 to consider and decide the proposal dated 18.10.2022 submitted by respondent no.5 seeking approval to appointment of the petitioner within a period of Eight (8) weeks from today and communicate his decision to Petitioner accordingly.
