ORDER:

Mr Deshmukh, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the stamp vendor license of the petitioner is not renewed. The criminal case is lodged in the year 2013. Since 2017, the license is not renewed. The license is not renewed only on the ground that the criminal case is pending.

learned AGP submits that, because of the pendency of the criminal case, the license is not renewed. The application of the petitioner would be considered if the petitioner is acquitted in the criminal case. Learned AGP relies on the Circular dt. 04.05.1993 and 03.02.1995.

It is stated that, the evidence in criminal case filed against the petitioner is being recorded.

The learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Aurangabad shall decide the criminal case pending against the petitioner, expeditiously, within six months from today.

In case the petitioner is acquitted in the criminal case, then the respondents shall consider the application of the petitioner for renewal of license immediately. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
