As many as four orders passed by the revenue authorities under different provisions of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the Code") are being impugned in this single writ petition.

In view of the hierarchy of the appeal and revision provided under the Code, when a remedy of appeal as well as revision is available under Sections 247 and 257 and when a second revision would lie before the State Government under Section 259, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to avail of the remedies provided under the Code, in the light of the decision in the case of Gurdassing Nawoosing
