The petitioner is the education society which runs the school. The petitioner was granted permission to run the school from I to VII standard. Thereafter the petitioner requested for sanction and permission to run VIII standard, which was considered and accepted by the government and order was passed permitting the petitioner to run VIII standard on non-grant basis. The petitioner had filed representation with Respondent No.1 for grant to VIII standard and also for up-gradation for class i.e. IX and X standards for grantin-aid basis. The said representation is dated 11th December, 2014 and same is still pending.

Learned counsel for the petitioners prays for directions to Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider and decide the said representation within one month.

The petition is opposed by learned A.G.P. She submits that the said representation is in active consideration of Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and appropriate decision would be taken as per the procedure. 4.

After hearing both the sides and considering that the representation is pending since last more than ten years, we direct Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to consider and decide the said proposal on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months.
