The petitioners claiming themselves to be the heirs of the original land holder in whose name an award was passed under the Land Acquisition Act had approached the respondents claiming the compensation but since perhaps there was doubt about their identity and entitlement, they were not paid the compensation.

The petitioners have now succeeded in obtaining a succession certificate from the competent court. We, therefore, dispose of the Writ Petition and direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners on the basis of succession certificate and pay the amount of compensation as they are entitled in law, within four weeks.

Pending civil application is disposed of.
