The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during pendency of writ petition, the petitioner has received a letter stating that the case will be finalized on receipt of pension papers and department was asked to approach the Finance department. According to the learned counsel, the final decision in respect of pension has not yet been taken in view of the said letter. The learned counsel submits that the petition be disposed of pursuant to the letter dated 21.8.2014.

The Education Officer shall comply the letter dated 21.8.2014 which is taken on record and marked "X" for identification, as expeditiously and preferably within six months from today. All

Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
