DATE : 19th July, 2016 PER COURT:
Petitioners claim to belong to reserved category and have been admitted to engineering course as against the seats earmarked for reserved category.
It is contended on behalf of respective petitioners that, since Respondent-Scrutiny Committee has not yet decided the proposals for verification of caste certificates in respect of petitioners, there are impediments in prosecuting further studies.
In the facts of these cases, these petitions can be disposed of by directing the concerned College/University to declare result of respective petitioners forthwith. Petitioners shall also be permitted to prosecute further studies and shall be entitled to be admitted to the next
{3} semester/academic year subject, however, to the orders, those may be issued by the Scrutiny Committee in respect of verification of caste certificates of the petitioners; and it is accordingly directed to the concerned College/University. Respondent-Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide verification claims in respect of caste certificates issued to the petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today.
In view of the directions, as recorded above, writ petitions are disposed of.
Civil Application No.10150/2016 in W.P. No.2433 of 2016 does not survive and stand disposed of.
Parties to act upon authenticate copy of this order. K.L.WADANE R.M.BORDE JUDGE JUDGE adb/wp243316
