Mr. Dhorde, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners submits that, the term of the managing committee of the petitioner No.1 would come to an end on 18/12/2020. The District Deputy Registrar so also the Director of Marketing have recommended to the respondent No.1 for extension of the term of the petitioners. The elections of all A.P.M.Cs. are postponed by the Government under a policy decision due to pandemic Covid-19. The State Government has not yet decided upon the application of the petitioner for extension of the term of the managing committee of the petitioner.

Learned A.G.P. accepts notice for respondents and

W.P. No.7695/20 submits that the respondent No.1 would take decision on its own merits.

The term of the managing committee of petitioner No.1 is to expire on 18/12/2020. till that date, the petitioners cannot have apprehension of appointment of Administrator or otherwise.

Interest of justice would be subserved if the respondent No.1 is directed to take decision on the application of the petitioners and the recommendations made to the respondent No.1 by the respondents No.2 and 3 in September 2020.

In light of the above, the respondent No.1 shall take decision on the application of the petitioners for extension of the term, and as recommended by respondents No.2 and 3 (Exhibit D), expeditiously, on or before 5th December 2020, positively. 6.

Dependent upon the decision taken, the petitioners would be at liberty to take appropriate steps. Writ petition disposed of. No costs.
