Heard learned Advocate for the petitioners and the learned A.G.P. for the respondents/State. 2.

The petitioners have been placed on supernumerary post. The orders placing the petitioners on supernumerary post are issued without notice to the petitioners and without hearing the petitioners. The same is violative of principles of natural justice.

In the light of above, the impugned orders are quashed and set aside. The respondents shall not take any further action pursuant to the impugned orders, without issuing notice to the petitioners and without hearing the petitioners. 4.

The Scrutiny Committee may endeavour to decide the validation proceedings expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from the date of appearance of the petitioners. 5.

The petitioners shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 15.09.2021.

In view of the above, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
