Petitioner claims to be belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe and, certificate issued to him certifying that he belongs to aforesaid tribal community is being verified by the Scrutiny Committee in pursuance to the proposal tendered by petitioner in that regard. The Committee is already directed by this Court while dealing with Writ Petition No. 7030/2015 to take decision on the validation claim within a period of one year from the date of the order i.e. 10.10.2014.

It is informed by petitioner that the Committee has not yet decided the validation claim. If that be so, we direct the Committee to decide the same within a period of three months from today. Petitioner undertakes to co-operate the Scrutiny Committee in disposal of the validation claim.

Petitioner is pursuing engineering degree course in respondent no. 4 college and, as a result of failure of petitioner to submit validation certificate, his result is stated to have been withheld. Respondent no. 3 is directed to declare result of petitioner forthwith and, respondent no. 4 college shall permit petitioner to prosecute further studies however, subject to the decision of the caste certificate verification claim pending with the Scrutiny Committee. With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
