Heard. It is categorically admitted by the Municipal Council that there exists encroachment along side of D.P. road and said encroachment needs to be removed. An undertaking is presented by the Chief Officer, Municipal Council, Shirpur, undertaking to remove encroachment by observing the procedure prescribed in law within 30 days from today. The undertaking is taken on record and marked "X" for identification. The Chief Officer makes request for issuance of directions to

( 2 ) wp8538.16 the State to provide adequate police protection for taking measures for removal of encroachment.

Considering the request, the respondent-State and the Superintendent of Police, Dhule, are directed to provide adequate police force for undertaking the drive of removal of encroachment, as and when the Chief Officer makes request in that regard.

In view of above, the writ petition stands disposed of.
