We have heard the learned Advocates for the Petitioners and the Zilla Parishad. It is undisputed that all these Petitioners have been selected for receiving the honour of being ideal teachers at the district level. Such decision has been arrived at prior to introduction of the GR dated 04.09.2018, which now takes away the benefit of additional increments to such teachers who are bestowed with the honour. In several orders, we have directed the Zilla Parishad to verify and confirm as to whether the claimants have been granted such awards and whether such selection for receiving the award is prior to khs/March 2023/8782

- 2 - 04.09.2018 in terms of the GR dated 12.12.2000. 2.

In view of the above, both these petitions are disposed off with the following directions :- [a] The Respondent-Zilla Parishad, after confirming that the Petitioners are the District Awardee Teachers and are awarded such certificates prior to 04.09.2018, shall consider the case of the Petitioners for additional increment as is laid down under the Government Resolution dated 12.12.2000.

[b] The same shall be considered on it's own merits and preferably within a period of six (6) months.
