ORAL ORDER :

The petitioner claims to belong to Chapparband caste, which is included in Vimukta Jatis. The petitioner has been admitted to Engineering Course in respondent No.3 institute as against a seat reserved for Vimukta Jatis category. The caste certificate issued to the petitioner is referred for verification to respondent No.1 Committee and the proposal for verification is stated to be pending.

In the facts of this case, this petition can be disposed of with directions to respondent No.1 Committee to take decision on the caste certificate verification proposal in respect of the petitioner which is pending with the respondent No.1 Committee, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from today, and it is accordingly directed. 3.
The respondent No.2 North Maharashtra University is directed to declare the result of the petitioner for the First Year Engineering Course forthwith. The respondent No.3 shall permit the petitioner to prosecute further studies and further permit him to take admission to higher class, subject to the fulfillment of requirement of eligibility. The petitioner shall be permitted to pursue further studies subject to decision in respect of the caste certificate verification claim, pending with the respondent No.1 Committee.
