The Petitioner has raised a limited grievance. His Complaint (ULP) No.3/2015 is pending adjudication. In the said complaint, he has filed an application under Section 30(2) of the MRTU & PULP Act, 1971 seeking interim relief. He further submits that the Respondents have still not filed their Written Statement.

Section 30(2) of the MRTU & PULP Act, 1971 which pertains to the powers of the Court for granting interim orders reads as under:-

Powers of Industrial and Labour Courts.

(1) ......

(2) In any proceeding before it under this Act, the Court, may pass such interim order (including any temporary relief or restraining order) as it deems just and proper (including directions to the person to withdraw temporarily the practice complained of, which is an issue in such proceeding), pending final decision:

Provided that, the Court may, on an application in that behalf, review any interim order passed by it." Considering the limited grievance raised in this petition, I am of the view that this petition can be disposed of with the observation that the Labour Court shall endeavour to decide the application for interim relief expeditiously and preferably on or before 17.10.2015. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the observation that the Labour Court shall decide the pending application Exhibit U/2 on or before 17.10.2015 on it's own merits.
