By the order passed in the petitioner's writ petition No. 785/2022, a direction was given to the investigating officer to investigate impartially including in respect of the petitioner's plea of alibi on the basis of CCTV footage of a petrol pump.

The affidavit in reply filed by the respondent no. 1-investigating officer, in paragraph nos. 8 and 9 expressly mentions about he having undertaken enquiry into the plea of alibi by seeking CCTV footage and even the recording which the petitioner possesses in his mobile. The affidavit in reply expressly mentions about a supplementary charge-sheet having been filed under Section 173 (8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure in August 2022. Nothing survives.

The Contempt Petition is disposed of.
