Both these petitioners are cousins and their claims for seeking validity belonging to the "Naikda - Scheduled Tribe" is pending with the Committee. Three of their cousin uncles have been granted validity. 2.

The learned AGP submits on instructions that there are more khs/August 2022/8492

- 2 - than 8000 orders passed by the High Court setting time limit to the Committee to decide claims of students on priority basis. Every day, the Court keeps on passing many orders granting a time line for such decisions. Day by day, the burden on the Committee is increasing with the time bound cases. These two petitioners have approached the Committee on 31/01/2022 when they were on the verge of appearing for their 12th standard examinations. The learned AGP, therefore, submits that time may be granted for deciding their claims at least till March 2023.

Considering the peculiar situation as above, we find that it would be appropriate to direct the Committee to decide the claims of these 2 petitioners by the end of December 2022.

In view of the above, these 2 petitions are disposed off. The Committee would decide the claims of these 2 petitioners on or before 30.12.2022.
