S.S. SHINDE AND SANGITRAO S. PATIL, JJ.

DATE : 20th JUNE, 2016 PER COURT :

1.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned A.G.P. for the State and learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 2. Despite due service of notice on respondent No. 3, none appears for her.

2.

There is an innocuous prayer made in this petition inasmuch as the petitioner seeks direction to respondent No. 2 to decide the applications filed by him through his father on 25.08.2014 and 12.05.2015, requesting therein to extend the benefit of family pension to him on account of the death of his mother on

wp7989-2015 29.08.2008, who was serving as a peon on the establishment of respondent no.2. In that view of the matter, we direct respondent No.2 to consider the representations/applications dated 25.08.2014 and 12.05.2015 filed by the petitioner, through his father, on its own merits, after issuing notice to respondent No. 3, as expeditiously as possible; however, within a period of four weeks from today and communicate the decision so taken to the petitioner and also to respondent No. 3.

3.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

4.

The parties to act on authenticated copy of this order.
