The Petitioner claims that his contractual employment should not have ended at attaining the age of 58 years, since normally, in the Scheme known as 'Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA)', funded by Respondent No.1/ Union of India, he should have continued until 60 age. He was declared as superannuated on 31/03/2024, at the age of 58 years.

Issue notice to the Respondents, returnable on 02/09/2024. The learned Standing Counsel waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent No.1. The learned A.G.P. waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent Nos.2 to 8. 3.

We make it clear that, if this Court concludes that the Petitioner should have been continued until the age of 60 years and if it is held that he was wrongly superannuated on completion of 58 years, the Petitioner would be entitled for all the monetary benefits.

All office objections shall be removed on or before 26/08/2024, failing which, this Writ Petition shall stand dismissed without further reference to the Court, on 27/08/2024. 5.
