These are two civil applications (CA/7701/2023 and CA/8470/2023) whereby petitioner Nos.4 to 14 are being sought to be added and some portion is sought to be incorporated in the memo of the writ petition.

Even if the respondents have filed affidavit-in-reply, in our considered view, if some individuals intend to join the petitioners having a similar grievance and intend to bring on record some additional facts, the respondents would have an opportunity to controvert everything. We do not find any impediment in allowing both these applications. No prejudice is likely to be caused to the respondents if we grant them opportunity to file additional affidavit.

The applications are allowed. Amendment to be carried out within one week. The respondent are at liberty to file additional affidavits if they so intend.

Petitioner shall delete the respondent No.5 in W.P. No.6839/2023.
