In this case, FIR was registered on 17.05.2024 and admittedly, charge sheet was already filed as far back as in September, 2024. In these circumstances, we are of the opinion that the applicant can avail of the remedy of filing an application for discharge before the competent court.

We decline to exercise our inherent powers under section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code to entertain the present application. 3.

Hence, the application is dismissed. However, liberty is reserved for the applicant to file appropriate application for discharge before the competent court.
