The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a limited relief in respect of the application moved before respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster of his school, for correction of the record as regards his place of birth.

We find that respondent No. 1 - the State is represented by the learned AGP and respondent No. 2 - the Education Officer (Primary) is represented by Mr. Patil, learned counsel. Since we intend to issue a simple direction to respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster of the school, to forward the application / proposal of the petitioner to respondent No. 2 - the Education Officer in terms of Rule 26.4 read with appendix 6 of the Secondary Schools Code, 2015, issuance of notice to respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster is dispensed with. The documents show that on 01.05.2025, the petitioner had filed such application before respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster but no further steps have been taken in the nature. Respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster is required to forward the application to respondent No. 2 - the Education Officer, to be decided in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster, Z.P. Urdu Primary School, Ghatnandra, Tq. Sillod, Dist. Chh. Sambhajinagar, to forward the aforesaid application of the petitioner to respondent No. 2 - the Education Officer, Zilla Parishad, Chh. Sambhajinagar, within two weeks of this order being served upon respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster.

Thereafter, respondent No. 2 - the Education Officer shall decide the said application strictly in accordance with law, within six weeks of receipt of the application/proposal from respondent No. 3 - the Headmaster. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. 7.
