The deceased had died on 10 October 2018 in a pool. Though the accident had occurred in the jurisdiction of Newasa Police Station, since he was shifted to Civil Hospital, Ahmednagar, where he succumbed. Accidental Death Case No. 00/2018 at Tofkhana Police Station, Ahmednagar was registered and enquiry U/Sec. 174 of the Cr. P. C. was conducted. Subsequently, it was passed on to Newasa Police Station and A. D. Case No. 134/2023 was registered again U/Sec. 174 of the Cr. P. C. The petitioner is brother of the deceased and was not getting the papers of enquiry and even the postmortem report. That is the reason why he is before us.

We dispose of the criminal writ petition by directing the respondent No. 3 to give the copies of postmortem report and any other document of investigation as is permissible to the petitioner within a period of two (02) weeks from today. [ SHAILESH P. BRAHME, J. ] [ MANGESH S. PATIL, J. ] bsb/March24
