PER COURT :- 1.

The petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to respondent nos. 1 to 4 to hold respondent no.5 as disqualified from contesting the elections to the Village Panchayat, Shiregaon, on the ground referable to Section 14-F of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act. It is informed that the process of election has reached advanced stage and tomorrow is the date prescribed for recording of votes.

In this view of the matter, no interference is called for. Keeping open the option to avail of alternate remedies as are available to the petitioner in law, at an appropriate stage, the writ petition stands rejected.
