In pursuance of the notice, respondent no.1 has filed the affidavit-in-reply. In para 3 of the affidavit-in-reply it is stated that so far as 19 petitioners are concerned, the proposals of the petitioners, whose names are mentioned in the
crwp948.16 said paragraph, have been decided and out of 19, 3 petitioners have been released. So far as other petitioners are concerned, their proposals will be decided. There are some petitioners out of 19, who have not yet completed their requisite period of sentences.

Learned A.P.P. submits that the proposals of the remaining petitioners will be decided within six weeks from today.

In the circumstances, we direct the respondents to decide the proposals of the remaining petitioners on their own merits, as early as possible, however, within six weeks from today.

We make it clear that in case such proposals are not decided, the Secretary, Home Department will be held responsible for the same. 6.
With the above observations the Petition stands disposed of.
