CORAM : S.C.DHARMADHIKARI & MANGESH S. PATIL,JJ.

DATE : 14/07/2017 PER COURT :- 1] Heard both sides. Since the petitioner's results have been withheld for want of production of caste validity certificate, he is unable to prosecute his further studies for the Mechanical Engineering course at respondent no.4 college. 2] After a brief hearing it is agreed by the respondent no.3 University that the respondent nos.3 and 4 could not have withheld his results. In the event petitioner has appeared at the examination he must know whether he has cleared it or otherwise. There is no provision by which the results can be withheld pending scrutiny of the

Hence we direct respondents 3 and 4 to declare the results of the petitioner and in the event the petitioner has passed the examination, allow him to prosecute studies as per rules. The verification process shall be completed by scrutiny committee as expeditiously as possible. Subject to the orders of the committee, the petitioner be treated as a bonafide student of the 4th respondent college affiliated to the third respondent-university and allowed to prosecute studies for the course. The Writ Petition is disposed of.
