Heard. The petitioners are relying on the validity certificates issued in favour of their blood relations. These validity certificates were not before the Scrutiny Committee.

Writ Petition No.10493/2024 with 10477/2024 :: 2 ::

As such, the Committee did not have opportunity to verify the relationship between the petitioners and those validity holders. The matters are, therefore, required to be remanded back to the Scrutiny Committee. The learned A.G.P. is at one with the prayer for remand made by learned Advocate for the petitioners.

In view of the above, the Petitions are disposed of in terms of the following order :

O R D E R

(i) The Writ Petitions are allowed in terms of prayer clause (B).

(ii) The orders impugned herein are set aside.

(iii) The matters are remanded back to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the claim of the petitioners afresh within a period of eight months from today, after giving the petitioners opportunity of hearing.
