The learned AGP has taken instructions in the matter in the light of the order dated 04.08.2025 passed by this Court in this petition 2.

It is brought to our notice that in another Writ Petition No.1818/2025, this Court appears to have directed status quo to be maintained but the said petition is admittedly not concerned with the election to the post of Upa-Sarpanch. Hence, the same ought not to come in the way of the conducting elections for the post of Upa-Sarpanch in Gram Panchayat Gorphadwadi, Taluka Rahuri, District Ahilyanagar. 3.

In that light, we direct the Respondent/Authorities to take immediate steps for conducting election for the post of Upa-Sarpanch in
