ORAL ORDER :

Heard. The petitioner claims to belong to Rajput Bhamta - Vimukta Jati, and on the strength of the certificate issued by the competent authority, she has been admitted to Engineering degree course in respondent No.3 College. The caste certificate issued to the petitioner has been referred to Scrutiny Committee for verification in the year 2014 and the proposal is still stated to be pending.

In the facts of this case, this petition can be disposed of with directions to respondent No.2 to take decision on the proposal tendered by the petitioner for verification of her caste certificate and pending with the Committee, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today and it is accordingly directed.

In the meanwhile, the respondent No.2 - North Maharashtra University is directed to declare the results of the petitioner for Third Year Computer Sci. Engineering Course forthwith. The respondent no.3 shall permit the petitioner to secure admission to the next year course if she is found eligible, and without insisting for submission of the caste validity certificate. The petitioner shall be permitted to prosecute further studies subject to decision in respect of verification of his caste certificate by the respondent No.2 Committee. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
