DATE : 30th MARCH 2023 P.C.:- The claim of the petitioners is for initiation of proceeding under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act,2013 in respect of the land, the possession of which was taken in the year 2005 for execution of irrigation project.

The Land Acquisition Officer i.e. respondent No.2, in para.5 of his affidavit in reply, stated as under :- 5.

I say and submit that, this deponent by communication dated 24.03.2023 requested the acquiring body to submit proposal for additional land acquisition of the land belong to the petitioners."

In view of above, we expect the respondent No.3 i.e. Acquiring Body to submit proposal for acquisition, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of eight weeks from today. Once

{2} 982 sr.no..odt such proposal is submitted, we expect the respondent No.2 to complete the acquisition process as expeditiously as possible and in any case within the statutory period.

With the above observations, writ petition stands disposed of.
