The petitioners who are serving as Class IV employees with the respondent nos. 4 and 5 are aggrieved by the fact that they have appointed respondent nos. 6 and 7 and their appointments, according to the petitioners, are not in accordance with the provisions of the MEPS Act.

Learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that already a grievance has been put up with the respondent no. 3 of which a reminder dated 01 February 2023 has been filed in the petition (exhibit 'E'). He submits that the petitioners are only seeking a direction to the respondent no. 3 to consider the representation on its own merits.

In the light of the above, we dispose of the Writ Petition by directing respondent no. 3 to take appropriate decision in accordance with law on the petitioners' grievance (exhibit 'E') as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of twelve weeks from today.
