In these connected First Appeals which are filed by the acquiring body challenging judgment and award passed by the learned Reference Court, there is a delay of 286, 298,308 and 317 days in filing the respective First Appeals.

The learned advocate appearing for the appellants submits that the delay has occurred on account of office procedures, other formalities and steps in procurement of court fees.

The contents of the applications are not denied by filing a counter affidavit. Having regard to the reasons mentioned in the application coupled with the fact that the public money is at stake, I am inclined to condone the delay.
