We have heard learned Advocate for the petitioners.

The learned A.G.P. raises a preliminary objection qua the territorial jurisdiction of this Court. According to the learned A.G.P., the petitioners had applied for the post of Talathi

2 wp 9847.2021+ within the territorial jurisdiction of Solapur district.

It is not disputed by the learned Advocate for the petitioners that the advertisement was for filling in the post of Talathi only within the district of Solapur and the same was not open to be filled in throughout the State. The learned Advocate submits that the petitioners are resident within the territorial jurisdiction of this Court. 4.

The cause of action would be relevant. The advertisement was for filling in the post of Solapur only and it was not for filling in the post throughout the State or another post within the territorial jurisdiction of this Court.

In light of that, we dispose of the writ petitions with liberty to the petitioners to approach the appropriate forum. All contentions are kept open. No costs.
