1) Heard. There is innocuous prayer in this petition.

The petitioner seeks directions to Respondent No.2 to decide the proposal of the petitioner-institution dated 11.8.2014, a copy of which is placed on record at Exhibit-B of the petitioner, for opening of 8th Class at Udgir, Tq. Udgir District Latur.

2) The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner has tendered across the Bar a copy of letter dated 25th August, 2015 written by the Block Development Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Udgir to Education Officer (Primary), Zilla Parishad, Latur, wherein it is stated that during the course of his visit and inspection of the school, he found that the class of 8th std. was being conducted. It may be open for the concerned Education Officer/Respondent No.2,

WP No. 10957/2015 to consider the said report and take a decision on the proposal of the petitioner-school, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from today and if Respondent No.2 is of the opinion that the proposal of the petitioner is viable and deserves recommendation, he shall take necessary steps within two weeks thereafter to send the same to Director of Education (Primary), Pune. In case such proposal is received and if it is found that the proposal is viable, by the concerned authority, he may take decision thereon, if not already decided, within four weeks and send it to Respondent No.1. Respondent No.1, upon receiving such proposal, shall take decision on the same, as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 15th May, 2016.

3) The petition stands disposed of on above terms.
