CORAM: S.C. DHARMADHIKARI & MANGESH S. PATIL, JJ.

DATE: 27.07.2017 ORDER :

1] After we pointed out to the petitioners' counsel that there are specific provisions and particularly incorporated in Sub-sections (7) and (8) of Section 48 of

WP 9578/17 & another - 2 - the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, so as to obtain release of a seized vehicle, the petitioners' Advocate states that the petitioners would make proper applications and if there is a format prescribed therefor, in that format, to the Collector for release of the vehicles. The Collector's powers in that behalf would be invoked and we have no doubt in our mind that if such applications are made by the petitioners, the same would be given prompt attention by the Collector and he would pass appropriate order on the same as expeditiously as possible and within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of applications from the petitioners. 2] In view of above, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
