The petitioner claims to belong to Special Backward Category "A" and is in receipt of the caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority. 3.
The petitioner has been admitted to Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) - a Degree course as against the seat reserved for the aforesaid reserved category in respondent No. 4 College, however, as a result of his failure to submit the caste validity certificate, respondent No. 3 University has not declared the result of the examination of his fourth semester of B.E. (Electrical) course till this date.

In the facts and circumstances of this case, this Writ Petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent No. 2 to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, pending with it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight months from today and it is accordingly directed. The respondent No. 3 shall forthwith declare the result of the petitioner of the examination of 4th semester of B.E. (Electrical) degree course. The petitioner shall be permitted to appear in the next examination depending upon the result of the 4th semester of B.E. (Electrical) degree course examination and shall be permitted to continue the studies, subject to result of the caste certificate verification proposal pending with the respondent No.2 Committee.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
