The petitioner belongs to Maratha community. Reservation was provided to Maratha community under Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.) category. The same has been stayed by the Apex Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner also belongs to Economically Weaker Sections (E.W.S.) category. He submits that the petitioner has not been issued E.W.S.
10-wp.7847.20 certificate by the Tahsildar only on the ground that the petitioner belongs to Maratha community.

Learned counsel states that the petitioner would not claim benefit of reservation under S.E.B.C. category or any other reservation throughout his education career.

The statement of the petitioner is accepted.

If the petitioner is otherwise eligible for getting the certificate of E.W.S. category, the Tahsildar shall not reject the application of the petitioner for issuance of E.W.S. certificate, only on the ground that he belongs to Maratha community. 7.
The petitioner shall give an undertaking that he will not claim benefit of any reservation throughout his education career, if he is granted benefit of E.W.S. certificate 8.
