The learned A.G.P. appearing for State has placed on record a communication issued on behalf of the State Government, whereby the notification

dated 15th July 2015 directing the conversion of Akkalkuwa Village Panchayat area into smaller urban area, has been put in abeyance and the Collector has been directed to comply with the deficiencies and take appropriate steps in accordance with the provisions of law. The communication dated 3rd December 2015 is taken on record and marked "X" for identification.

Since the State Government has taken a decision to keep the notifications impugned in this Petition in abeyance, we do not propose to deal with the merits of the contentions raised by the Petitioners in the instant Petition. It would be open for the Petitioners to raise objections at an appropriate stage, if an occasion arises.

It is expected of the State Government to comply with the procedural formalities and take a fresh decision in the matter.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of, keeping the option of the Petitioners to approach this Court open, if an occasion arises.
