Dated: August 29, 2016 PER COURT :- 1) Heard. Delay of the period ranging between 634 to 820 days has occurred in filing the present Appeals by the Acquiring Body against the Awards passed in the respective Land Acquisition References.
2) Learned counsel appearing for Original Claimant/s has opposed for condoning the delay. However, on perusal of the Applications filed by the Acquiring Body, it is revealed that the delay has
been sufficiently explained and the same needs to be condoned so as to provide opportunity to the acquiring body to contest the matters on merits. In the circumstances, the delay, caused in filling the respective Appeals, is condoned. Respective Civil Applications for condonation of delay stand disposed of.
3) Issue notices to the Respondent/s in C.A.
for stay. Shri. L.C. Patil, learned counsel waives service for original Claimant/s in all these matters.
4) Execution of the Awards, impugned in the present Appeals, shall stand stayed, subject to deposit of the entire amount, under each of the said Awards along with interest accrued thereon by the acquired body in this Court within 12 weeks from the date of this order.
