The learned counsel submits that petitioners had approached the Collector with regard to the non-observance of the duties by the Nagar Panchayat. The petitioners are all members of the Nagar Panchayat. The details are given in the application by petitioners, but cognizance is not taken by the Collector.

In case, application/representation (Page Nos.17 and 18) is pending with the Collector, then the Collector may look into the same and take appropriate steps / decision as may be permissible

The decision shall be taken expeditiously and preferably within a period of four months.
