This petition is disposed of with directions to Respondent No.2 - HPCL Corporation to reconsider the prayer, i.e. to include the period of 8 (eight) years, for which period, according to the petitioner, he has rendered services to Respondent No.3, for the purpose of calculating the amount of pension payable to him right from the day he stood retired i.e. 31.7.2012, of the petitioner, on its own merits, keeping in view the relevant rules/policy of the Corporation. We make it clear that respondents will be at liberty to verify the relevant record and take a decision on its own merits.
