The Petitioners received a notice from the Executive Engineer, Rural Water Supply Division, Zilla Parishad, Beed to remain present before him in their capacity as a Sarpanch and a Member, since there was some dispute raised by a complaint with regard to the Jal Jeevan Mission Project. The Petitioners received this notice on WhatsApp on 12/07/2023 and they were asked to remain present before the concerned authority. Their cooperation has been sought by the said authority. Instead of appearing before the said authority, the Petitioners avoided to remain present and rushed to this Court.

We called upon the Petitioners to state, as to what is the present status of that proceeding. The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners are not aware. 3.

It is quite surprising that a Sarpanch and a Member, who have been called upon to assist in a complaint filed by someone with regard to the Jal Jeevan Mission, do not even care to appear before the authority to render assistance. A host of allegations are made before us without any justification. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is dismissed and the Petitioners shall deposit costs of Rs.2,500/- each, with the Advocate's Association of Bombay High Court, at Aurangabad. (Y. G. KHOBRAGADE, J.) (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.) sjk
