PER COURT :- 1.

We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent.

The grievance of the petitioner is that service book is not complete, so also the petitioner is not given benefit of pay scale as per Chatopadhaya Committee.

Affidavit-in-reply is filed stating that for preparation of the duplicate service book, proposal is required to be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer who has to sanction the same. The efforts would be required to prepare the service book of the petitioner. Necessary information has to be secured from various places i.e. since the petitioner's initial date of appointment till his retirement and, for doing all such exercise, 8 to 10 months time would be required. So also cooperation of the petitioner would be required in such a case.

No doubt, it is for the petitioner to give the details as to his employment with various employers. The petitioner will also have to co-operate with the respondent in getting his duplicate service book completed.

In the result we pass following order.

ORDER

1. The respondents No.3 and 4 shall take up the process and complete the same of preparing the service book of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner shall also co-operate with the respondents No.3 and 4 in giving all necessary information for completing service book and thereafter the respondents No.3 and 4 shall take decision about the pay scale admissible to the petitioner as claimed by the petitioner expeditiously. Said exercise be completed within ONE YEAR.
