Petitioner - Bajaj Auto Ltd. and the concerned village panchayat agree that the matter in respect of recovery of village panchayat taxes for the disputed period has been settled amicably. It is agreed that the amount of Rs. 67,43,000/-, which has been permitted to be withdrawn by the village panchayat, shall be appropriated by the village panchayat towards its taxes and the balance amount of Rs. 7,57,000/- along with interest accrued thereon shall be permitted to be withdrawn by the petitioner - Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent no.06 - village panchayat does not dispute the settlement arrived at, as referred to above.

In that view of the matter, amount of Rs.

(Order) (3) W.P. No. 05548 of 2015 7,57,000/- invested in fixed deposit shall be permitted to be withdrawn by the petitioner together with accrued interest.

In the light of amicable settlement between the parties, as above, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the Civil Application does not survive and the same stands disposed of.
