Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks direction against respondent No. 1 to decide the proposal for renewal of registration as per the new policy under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2018.

The proposal has been made on 28-6-2019 to respondent No. 3. It is submitted that respondent No. 3 has to recommend the said proposal to respondent No. 2 who thereafter recommends it to the respondent No. 1 and respondent No. 1 is to take decision upon it. 3.

In the light of the above, we pass the following order :

O R D E R

1.

Respondent No. 3, within period of 3 weeks, shall give its recommendation and forward it to respondent No. 2. On receipt of the said proposal from respondent No. 3, respondent No. 2 with its recommendation forward it to respondent No. 1 within four weeks thereafter. On the receipt of the said proposal from respondent No. 2, respondent No. 1 shall take decision upon it preferably within three months from the date of receipt of the proposal. 2.
